Brian Parr
Special Agent in charge of the New York Field Office, US Secret Service
Brian Parr currently serves as the Special Agent in Charge of the United States Secret Service, New York Field Office.
In this capacity, Mr. Parr is responsible for overseeing the agency’s investigative and protective activities in the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, six counties in the southern region of New York State, and the State of Connecticut. Prior to his return to New York City in 2004, Mr. Parr served on the staff of the President’s National Security Advisor, Dr. Condoleeza Rice, as the Director for Threat Policy Coordination in the Office of Combating Terrorism. As a Director on the National Security Council staff, he was instrumental in the development and execution of the President’s counter-terrorism strategy.
Mr. Parr is a career civil servant with the United States Secret Service, where he has served in the New York Field Office, the Intelligence Division, the Office of Congressional Affairs, and the Presidential Protective Division. Mr. Parr has served as a member of the Joint Terrorism Task Force in New York City, a staff assistant to Senator Jon Kyl, Chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Terrorism; and as an Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge of the Presidential Protective Division.
Prior to his appointment to the U.S. Secret Service, Mr. Parr served as a Deputy United States Marshal in the Eastern District of New York where his assignment included fugitive investigations and witness protection.
Mr. Parr is a 1985 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Parr lives in Manhattan with his wife Patricia.
