Mr. DeMatteis will share with us details of his work for the Terrorism Vulnerability Assessment Unit at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Paul DeMatteis, Director of the Counter Terrorism Assessment program at
John Jay College of Criminal Justice
Paul DeMatteis, CPP, CFE is the Senior Adviser on Corporate Security
Programs and the Director of the Counter Terrorism Assessment program at
John Jay College of Criminal Justice. The Counterterrorism Assessment Program provides consultative services to nonprofits and guides the development of their counterterrorism strategies. In conjunction with the CUNY Research Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, this program is timed to correspond with the Department of Homeland Security's Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP). Specifically, this program will provide your organization with the appropriate Risk Assessment needed to apply, compose, write and submit an organization’s grant application.
Mr. DeMatteis has worked as a senior security professional for three world financial institutions and is currently the Director of Security at one of the world's most prestigious law firms. Mr. DeMatteis has worked as a security professional in over 60 countries; he has lectured to business groups, security associations, law enforcement and governmental agencies. Mr. DeMatteis has appeared regularly on Fox News and for NBC as a global security specialist and has also published numerous articles on security management.
Mr. DeMatteis will share with us details of his work for the Terrorism Vulnerability Assessment Unit at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. The Terrorism Vulnerability Assessment Unit is made up of faculty and graduate students who have conducted over 225 assessments, presented numerous training programs on crisis management and terrorism mitigation. Organizations requesting a risk assessment through the John Jay College program receive a customized written assessment developed for their specific facility. The assessment also provides detailed recommendations to mitigate or otherwise minimize the effects of a terrorist attack.
