“Physical Security Systems: Best Practices and Advancements in Technology”
In lieu of the November meeting, the Chapter will hold a "Breakfast and Learn" education seminar at The Museum of Modern Art. Attendees will receive three (3) CPE credits.
This half day seminar will cover a variety of topics directly related to what a Security Director/Manager needs to know about Physical Security Systems and technological advancements in the industry. Topics will include:
- The role of the physical security consultant ~ when is it time to go to an expert?
- Best practices for system design ~ including lessons learned in actual deployments in NYC!
- Purchasing ~ what do you look for in a system or a contractor?
- Service contracts ~ Pros and Cons
- New technologies ~ including IP Video innovations.
- When to upgrade ~ and when to wait until a new technology is proven.
As a final presentation of the morning, we will examine the present and projected state of the job market for the Security Director in New York City and its environs. An attendance must for all security industry professionals keeping their skills current with the industry!
Seating is limited, registration is on a first serve basis. Please be courteous to others wishing to attend by not holding a seat if you are unable to attend.
