| 2008 ASIS NYC Chapter Scholarship Awards
Three $5,000 Scholarship Awards will be Granted
Deadline: Friday, April 4, 2008
Who is Eligible:
All current ASIS International New York City Chapter member’s children or grandchildren who are presently enrolled in an accredited College or university as a matriculated student and have completed at least one semester are eligible. Prior $5,000 scholarship award winners will not be eligible.
Requirements:
- Submit completed scholarship application (provided to you after the form is completed below) along with an official transcript of student's courses and grades by April 4, 2008
- Also submit the following:
a)
Brief description
of the student's career objectives
b) Extracurricular activities
c) Letter
of recommendation from a teacher or other
faculty member of the school the student attends.
- Upon entering the contest, the applicant (or a representative member of the family) must agree that should they win a Scholarship, they will appear at the 2008 ASIS NYC Solutions Expo luncheon on May 12, 2008 at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan to accept the award.
- Drawing and Presentation:
All Qualified Applicants names will be submitted
to a lottery drawing to be held at the chapter's
April Luncheon Meeting The winners,
or representative family members, will be presented with their $5,000 scholarship
check at the Chapter's Annual
Person of the Year Luncheon during the 2008 ASIS NYC Solutions Expo on May 12,
2008 at the Jacob Javits Center on West 34th
Street in NYC.
